Will I be allowed...

...to travel 50ish miles to the seaside with my DS during the Easter hols for a bit of fresh sea air on a beach off the beaten track?

I suspect we'll still need to remain in our locality but the gov website is full of unclear waffle and I'm desperate to see the sea!

Must stress that we will not be going if its not allowed though!

The stay local rule is removed from 29th March

Are you in Wales?

Scotstar91 · 15/03/2021 10:38

No, England, so I'd be talking w/c 4th April?

If you are in England, yes as the travel ban (for domestic travel) and "stay at home" requirements are being lifted from 29 March. You won't be able to meet up indoors with anyone other than your household/support bubble though (rule of 6 outside)

You'd be allowed to go, but only for the day as self cateted accommodation can't open until the 12th

Only for a day trip, I would check to see if anything is open first, the toilets are locked at our beach and none of the (many) retailers of takeaway provisions (normally sit down restaurants) will let you use their toilets.

That's all really helpful- thank you
