It's my birthday, why do I feel sad?

Its my birthday today and I just want to cry. But there's no real reason why. I feel like this every year. Every year I lower my expectations (in case it's because of then being too high) yet I still feel really sad.

Mother’s Day started off very quiet.
Then had visitors throughout the day which made it really lovely.

My birthday is in two weeks. So my second lockdown birthday. Was meant to be in Disneyland with DD so this was meant to be such an exciting time. Feel really flat about it. The good thing is we can meet in back gardens the day after my birthday so will be able to have some sort of celebrations with my twin.

If it's any consolation I've always felt exactly the same

I'm curious as to when others started feeling this. For me it was light childhood and I'm trying to unravel it a bit because I don't want my own DC to start hating their birthdays too
