Friend moving - present idea

One of my best friends of 12 years is moving a couple of hundred miles away and I wondered if anyone could help me with leaving present ideas please.

It depends , do you want to get them
A - something practical that will help them with the move / first few days after . find / buy / swipe large strong boxes , packing bubbles , coloured stickers ( ie everything with a red stick goes in the kitchen ) a cool bag filled with frozen ready meals , milk , coffee , tea etc pot noodles a local take away delivered.

B - house warming gift , a house plant , help decorating , a bottle of their tipple

C - something a bit longer lasting , A plant for the garden a painting of their new home ( only really suitable if it is a 'pretty' house )

D , all of the above are good but the biggest help I had when I moved was the physical help of actually shifting the stuff and the very kind person that looked after my dog on the day of moving and the day after so she was not under my feet and did not get stressed
