Your teenage AIBU

I remember the days of me teenage angst, I look back abc laugh at myself.

I've gone back school after half term, all my mates have a new school bag. My mum won't buy me a new one, the cow. Would I be unreasonable to cut a hole in the bottom of my current one to force my parents into buying a new one?

Also, my parents forced me to get a paper round. I like the money as I can go to Woolworths and spend the money on CDs for my Walkman. Putting the leaflets in the papers us a ballache. AIBU to hide the leaflets under my bed then put them into the big recycling bank down the road whenever my parents aren't looking?

AIBU to believe I will be marrying George Michael.

AIBU to think that that blue mascara looks fantastic.

AIBU to want to sit in the stairs yakking to my BFF (who didn't have a landline and waited in the phone box at the specified time) without Dad coming out of the kitchen to tap his watch at me. Hmm

@Sparklingbrook your blue mascara sounds amazing. Glare at your dad from under your blue lashes, that will teach him.

It came free with Jackie magazine, I looked amazing, believe me. Grin I too went to Woolworths and bought 12" vinyl records for a whole £1.79.

AIBU to not tidy my room when the world is such a mess?

AIBU to think DM just doesn't care about me. She won't give me twenty pounds just to buy a new top in town because it will cheer me up and I am so depressed.

AIBU to think C4 7 o'clock news is Sooo Boring.

AIBU to think if Keanu and I met we would be together?

TotoAnnihiliation · 14/03/2021 19:38

@MorePotatoSalad you are being unreasonable. You must represent the world in your room. Goddddd don't your parents understand?

My sister gets on my nerves, AIBU to race home before her and lock her out the house? I'm plan to be really surprised when she goes round to my he neighbours crying.

AIBU to get my Dad to drive me to a hobby club 40 minutes drive away, go away for 2 hours, then collect me and drive home? It's only once a week, and he only leaves for work at 6am every morning, and gets home at 6pm, so it's not like he could be tired. I'm sure he's fine sitting in the car park.

LagneyandCasey · 15/03/2021 13:30

Aibu pluck my eyebrows into submission, not realising that I would actually like some in my 50's?

If he is that tired he can sleep in the car whilst you are at the club. Everyone is a winner. Make sure he parks down the road so your mates do see him.

Do it. It's not like big eyebrows will ever be fashionable.

AIBU.

Friday is early kick out time and we only have PE for last lesson. I mean like, who the hell needs pe ?

So AIBU in jigging it every Friday afternoon and getting the train 40 miles with my boyfriend who's 5 years older to traipse round the pubs ? I mean I'm 14 so strictly speaking it isn't legal but what do they know ? Last time we ended up missing the last train home and I had to be collected but so what ? I got home safe. And I know where the pub is that sells French ticklers. My mum's being so unfair and jealous because she's old and her life is shit. So tell me where the hell am I being unreasonable ?
