What do you normally do ,does your husband make a fuss ,.has it been different with the lockdown.
I cleaned for mine ,he left a card on the side ,but as he didn’t actually give it me ,I’ve not opened it ..I bought him gifts of Amazon off some chocolates and put in a nice message ..
Thinking it’s the beginning of the end

Our anniversary is for us, font expect anyone else to remember or acknowledge it.

Early days it was v low key - I have twins from a previous relationship so they were young. Then we had children together.
Now we don't have babies/toddlers we make more of it (in normal times) and go out somewhere nice for dinner.

Last year we escaped the house & went for a walk, just us, lovely day & chatted (& snogged like a couple of teenagers). Looks like this year will be similar.

It was important to get married & there have been some tough times so its nice to have a point of reflection & celebration. The last year has been hard work at times with all of us at home all the time but we've managed so far.

We don’t do anything. Last year we both forgot Blush

It’s our 5th wedding anniversary next month and we don’t even give each other a card.

However, that’s just what we do. If you want more fanfare, talk to him about it.

Our 1st anniversary we went away for the weekend. But since then (16 years) we've not done anything, no cards, no meals, no gifts, nothing. So nothing has changed in lock down, still nothing.

Sorry I'm just really confused over "I cleaned for him". Don't you usually do any cleaning?

It was our anniversary the other week. We have been doing the traditional gifts and this year was our 5th anniversary, which is wood and we got new doors in the living room and can’t afford to get anything else so are using the doors as our gift to each other. We both ordered cards online and gave them to each other in the morning. We did a restaurant at home kit for our meal which we cooked together. During the day, we spent a bit of time together but we also had some time alone - which we need at the moment as we’ve both been working from home for a year. It was surprisingly nice for a lockdown celebration.
