Just sent toddler off in ambulance (nothing serious!)

Well the boy has croup. Admittedly it's the worst he's had it, he normally just has the seal bark cough. But today he has the breathing problem as well.

Paramedics arrived and very quickly deduced it was croup. Tried to give him a steroid tablet and he was having none of it!

So my partner has gone with him in the ambulance to the hospital so he can get some steroids in him :)

As I said, it's nowt serious (croup doesn't seem to be these days) but not the greatest start to Mother's Day for my partner!

Hope by now his croup is resolved and Mother’s Day is going better. What a night for you all!

Hope he’s feeling better and you can all enjoy the rest of Mother’s Day after a bit of sleep Flowers

Aw poor lamb.
He'll be home soon for a big sleep.
Happy mothers day.

Croup is horrible hopefully they get the medicine in and he is bouncing off the walls on a steroid high soon!

Morning. Our son has had repeatedly since he was three months old and been taken in to hospital so many times. He’s now 7 and currently has it but seems to be coping slightly better. The steroid is amazing - son has it so often the Doc will now prescribe me a dose if I catch it quickly to save the hospital dash. I hope your son is better soon and you all get some rest later, you have my sympathy.

Well we got back from the hospital to 0545. We've had a few hours and he's fine :)

I think he just wanted a ride in the new naw as apparently he was amazed!

My DH took our toddler to hospital last Monday night at 02:00am with croup; they gave him corticosteroids and he was fine by the time he returned. (This was in Switzerland). It is unpleasant to see/hear however!

Toddler ds had it when I was bf the baby. We all stayed in hospital.. Me on a roll mat on the floor!! Toddler pulled his drip out one night and we got showered with blood! Home a day and back in with the baby - croup...
And that same day the buggy tipped over and toddler needed his forehead stitched..
They are 26+25 now but clear as day memory!
