Potentially found blood in cat urine

Found a little pool of red tinged liquid next to cats litter tray, he seems absolutely happy in himself and purring away when stroked.

I firmly squeezed down his abdomen and he showed no discomfort at all, not sure if it was urine or maybe a bit of blood hes sicked up after hunting.

We've put white paper under the litter to see if he does anymore overnight and if there's a red tinge.

Any cat owners or vets around for advice

I would take a urine sample:

I would also monitor how much he is drinking and urinating.

Could be an infection, off to the vets you go!

Quite common for cats to get urine infection, esp with dry food. He needs to see a vet and prob a course of antibiotics

Male cats are especially prone to UTIs. I can vouch for that with my experience with males and females - has only ever a problem with my males!
Hope he's better soon!
