Does any one use it?

Do you recommend it?

Yes and yes. Started for eco reasons and it works well for me (no dc here though so no heavy dirt / stains to contend with

Digestive28 · 13/03/2021 16:15

Yes but it doesn’t get rid of heavy stains so don’t use with every wash

Soubriquet · 13/03/2021 16:23

Does it not?

That’s a shame. I have two dc so I need something good with stains

We got one & I really wanted it to work but after the first few washes it seemed to become less effective. Like PP said it wasn’t good at getting stains out & after a while our clothes started to smell a bit cheesy (my daughter was a baby at the time). Now we use Ecover or Method & no complaints.

I do, but only on things I want to "freshen up".
Also the balls inside seem to shrink far quicker than they should do.

Yes. I've got one and I use it but if I have a heavy load or feel it needs a good wash I will use powder or liquid. Also when I do use it I use some fabric conditioner because the egg doesn't leave much of a scent.

mrwalkensir · 13/03/2021 17:49

we always use ecoballs - excellent on a quick wash with a full load. Not great on oil, and probably not grass stains etc (they do come with an additional stain remover). So save us time and water. Not sure conditioner would be particularly good for them? They are odourless themselves.

UltimateBlends · 13/03/2021 18:01

Yes and it fine for us.
Also use soap nuts for more dirty items.

Agree with PP, egg doesn't lift stains well, for strains we have vanish but don't use it very often.

No scent with the egg, but I brought unscented. Luckily nobody seems to care as long as clothes are clean!

However all this taken into consideration we are really not a fussy family when it comes to our washing!

A stain remover came with mine (bought from qvc) but haven't tried the stain remover
