Hi! I am looking for any suggestions or recommendations please. Older DC (now late teens) has always used out trampoline a lot. At least two plus hours a day throughout the year. Three years ago we upgraded from a round one to a 12ft by 14ft rectangular, adult sized one (£1200). It was expensive but for the phenomenal amount of use it gets, I thought it was worth it, as it should last - I thought.
DC is on it in all weathers, rain, ice , snow - it is their way of dealing with stress and exams studying (GCSE’s and now A-Levels) and lock down. They are one of those people that are just full of energy and can cope with sitting studying IF they can then burn their energy off in between session.
However after three years the frame has broken, it bent and actually came apart in several places. It hasn’t been misused at all, I assume it is simply from so much use in cold weather etc. The warranty does not cover the frame if it hasn’t rusted or corroded (it hasn’t at all) it simply seems that three years of continuous use has been too much. It is annoying, but it is what it is.
So we are now a couple of weeks without a trampoline, as it has been taken down, as it was simply not safe to use anymore. DC is not coping without it, and needs an outlet for all their energy. Tried jogging but it just isn’t practical or safe to run at night (after college) for a couple of hours, plus the trampoline used to be 30 minutes or so spread throughout the day.
So the upshot of all this is we need to get a new one as soon as possible.
All the research I have done is leading me to recommendations of trampolines that are not available in the UK. So I thought I would ask on here if anyone could help and had a good one, that is good (DC did train for a while so is pretty good on it) in terms of bounce, suitable for adult sized weight, and strong, so will survive a lot of use and being outside in all weathers. Definitely want a rectangular one. Price wise approx £1000 please. Size wise - old one was 10 by 14 feet but could go a bit bigger if needed?
