Probably a sign of how uneventful things are at the moment that this is perplexing me
. I got an email the other day from one of the big takeaway platforms saying they were sorry for the issue I had with an order back in December and have refunded me. Had a look back over the order details and all looked legit but we definitely didn't complain about it! Sure enough, the refund came through. Forwarded on to the support email address for the company and their answer was to change my password. They didn't seem bothered about the money. So do they think someone hacked in and randomly complained about an order? I can't see what a hacker get from that unless they also had access to the card we used but I can't see how they would?
Do I need to do anything other than maybe change my account and email passwords out of caution? I also feel a bit sad if the restaurant who provided the order thought we complained. And I'm a greedy bastard who wants to be able to order from there again 😇
