Cucumber shortage?

Anyone else noticed? I can't get a cucumber anywhere
I'm happily mainlining gherkins instead but none to be found. Tried online shop and nothing, sent my dad out who reported none in Asda, Aldi or Lidl

Plenty in markses, yesterday. British growers, too - though that could be why they did have some.

Hmmm. My dad lives in the same county but different town and says no issues there. He didn't think to bring any over

Plenty of supply is Sainsbury's here, so maybe a local issue.

I bought one in lidl yesterday.

I went to Sainsburys on Tuesday and they had loads. Regular, large, mini....

My local Mozzas had loads Maybe we got your share...

My morrisons delivery last week listed my cucumber as a missing item. There were 2 in the bags

It must be a local thing. Honestly there wasn't even a lone overpriced organic extra special one
My gherkin consumption was already at dubious levels and now I have an added excuse

We go through 7 a week (2dc who have it every day in lunchbox an mr snacks). No probs getting it ever.

I just wanted some for my salad.. had to buy another two jars of gherkins instead. Shame

Got a MASSIVE one in this week's delivery. Maybe someone in your area is stockpiling.

Temporary shortages coming across from Europe. Not cucumbers. Spare parts for Love Honey products. There is a run on cucumbers because dildo production is held in a backlog.

Yes! We have this here, have done for a couple of weeks, but it's only at the Coop that's an issue, where they usually come in from Spain. Got one yesterday from M&S, grown in Kent. I guess it's a Brexit issue.

There was or is a shortage of courgettes in our local morrisons last week. A notice by where they were said there were supply issues from abroad where apparantly the growers had poor growing conditions hence the shortage.

Cucumbers and courgettes are part of the same family so maybe thats why supplies have been affected in places

@scentedgeranium see I got Mrs elswood as an alternative with no issues! How weird
