Burning Vag

Sorry it's way TMI!

I keep getting this weird burning sensation in my vagina. It's definitely my vagina. No discharge or smell. Definitely not an STI, thrush, BV or cystitis. Google keeps suggesting those.

Any ideas??

How do you know it isn't those things?

WilsonMilson · 11/03/2021 23:29

Sounds like thrush to me!

I'll add follow up questions to save time-

  • are you sexually active
  • have you ever been sexually active
  • is it in your vagina or around the opening or is it your vulva?
  • when does it hurt (randomly, during sex, when you sit etc)?

It’s likely to be the shower products you’re using unfortunately

cerseii · 11/03/2021 23:32

What do you use to clean the area?

It could also be a reaction to your underwear eg the laundry detergent used

Worms.

Vaginal cheilitis.

Your age might be a factor, you haven't told us how old you are. Vaginal soreness can be a symptom in perimenopause and postmenopause due to the fall in oestrogen levels. It can be treated with oestrogen replacement cream or pessaries.
