I've given up booze for lent..maybe even good at this rate and I have a new found sweet tooth on a Saturday night which I'm happily indulging in at the moment with one of the below treats

So far I'm obsessed with Double magnum, easter eggs filled with cheese cake, raspberry pavlova and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream....

I need more ideas to embrace cheat day!

Tunnocks teacakes are the best thing ever

hippychick11 · 11/03/2021 22:19

Galaxy chocolate without a doubt Smile

Donuts! But specifically donuts from a place in Glasgow which is no help to you if you're not local!!

I'm a savoury rather than sweet eater, but when I want sweet I have a few random preferences:
honeycomb doughnut from Bread Ahead at Borough Market, an apple turnover, a custard slice.

Lindt balls

cerseii · 11/03/2021 23:39

It’s ice cream for me

What are these Easter eggs you speak of??

PositiveNegative · 11/03/2021 23:43

A spoonful of peanut butter!

canihaveacoffeeplease · 11/03/2021 23:46

I just had the most magnificent blueberry cheesecake Cronut from the local poncy sourdough type bakery. 'Twas outstanding. Also no help at all as I'm in Australia. But I highly recommend something along those lines!

Cushionsnotpillows · 11/03/2021 23:51

Hotel Chocolat dessert selection. Think the one I had was patisserie sleek box. Little mini chocs that taste like Eton Mess, cheesecake, caramel, brownies ... absolutely delicious.

FolkyFoxFace · 12/03/2021 02:24

BoojaBooja chocolate truffles. Salted caramel and champagne are my favourites. It's pure chocolate, no milk, but they're weirdly somehow creamy. God, I want some now... 😂

Etherealhedgehog · 12/03/2021 02:36

Ice cream - particularly Haagen Dazs Belgian chocolate and strawberry cheesecake

Supermarket tiramisu (eaten straight out of the tray with a spoon!)

Various Gu pots

Minstrels

If I'm feeling medium energetic then maybe a microwave chocolate mug cake

BitOfFun · 12/03/2021 02:39

Crunchie bars at the moment, definitely. And Fruitella/Starburst. I'm on a lot of medication which leaves an awful taste in my mouth, so I'm very susceptible to a nice sweet treat!

Practicalprat · 12/03/2021 06:42

Crumpets drenched in proper butter and lyles golden syrup.when you pick them up they leave a puddle of warm golden buttery sweetness underneath, and you have to lick the plate clean ....utter yum

devildeepbluesea · 12/03/2021 06:46

I gave up chocolate for Lent a few years ago, and whilst I eat it now, mostly I can take it or leave it. It really stopped the habit of a small piece of chocolate after dinner. And I've never really gone for chocolate flavoured things: cake, drink, whatever.

I am currently nursing a bit of a spearmint chew habit though.

MisgenderedSwan · 12/03/2021 07:48

There is a cake lady in our village who delivers cheesecake on a Saturday morning for £2 a slice, it's been our weekly treat! Helping me too because I look forward to the one slice without having to eat half a cheesecake each with DH 🤣

LadyCatStark · 12/03/2021 08:20

Mini eggs 🥰

Straussful · 12/03/2021 08:22

Jelly beans!

Perfect for hitting that sweet craving without too many calories.

Borisjohnsonshairbrush · 12/03/2021 14:04

@PositiveNegative
Its basically it's one half shell of an Easter egg filled with cheese cake. I made one last week. Divine x
