Will I harm my iphone7 by using a usb-c lightening charger?

Bought the wrong flipping charger at great expense. Says for iphone8 upwards. Will it harm my iphone7 which seems to be charging on it?

The lighting refers to the bit than goes into the iPhone, the USB C end goes into the charger. It'll be fine.
