Hello I'm a single parent looking ahead to the easter and summer holidays and feeling really worried about how I will arrange childcare for 6yo DS.
I guess most people have the problem to some extent, but with a partner I would have split the hols between us and taken leave. That's not an option now as ex has left the country and is non contact.
- I'm not sure if the council holiday club will run.
- If it does I still feel apprehensive cos DS isnt really a mixer and might hate it
- My parents are worried about covid and I'm not sure when they will get second jab or if they will still think top risky.
- I dont know other parents so have no idea what they are doing.
Just interested to hear how other people manage it. Am I missing some obvious options?
I have savings so can pay for care (within reason I'm not in nanny terriory) but I dont know where to go.
Feel so anxious about it.
