How have you embarressed your teens today? (very lighthearted!)

DH and I drive our DC to school as they're 10 miles away, we took a break between work meetings to go and get them together and took the dog too for a quick walk before meeting them. The horror on their faces when they realised we were near the school and 'someone might see them' with us. Youngest DD year 9, strode forwards after giving DH her bags and musical instrument to carry and then took the dog from me. So funny, loved to see their faces. We had planned to meet them at the car but just told them where we were just in case they got to the car first. Most amusing...

I have to stop around the corner from school at drop off time in the mornings
People might see!
Those ‘people’ are girls and my son’s image will suffer if they see his mum and little brother.

By pushing my mask up onto the top of my head instead of under my chin to eat something. We were alone in the room at the time. She's now only grunting at me. Apparently it's very bad.

Took 18 year old Ds to his college for his covid test. Took ages, and I had the baby in the car, so I put her in the pushchair to go for a walk.

Ds called to say he was done and I was just walking past the collage entrance. "Oh fab!" I said, "wait there, we'll meet you in 30 seconds."

"I DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN WITH YOU, I WILL MEET YOU ATTHE CAR" was his reply.

Toe rag.

My DD is 9. I am not allowed out the car while dropping her off.
But she will meet me at the Yr3 pick up point after school (she is allowed to wait by the car, but she prefers to go to her sisters pick up point)

Changed 15yo ds2's zoom name to 'Mummys Best Soldier'.

Told ds1 I'd PM'd his girlfriend's mum on Facebook to let her know what his favourite food to have for tea was, ready for after lockdown. (I didn't.)

It's been a long day and there's fuck all on telly. If you can't wind up the teenagers what can you do?

I'm on a roll today.
Five dc ages 13 to 21 DH finished work at lunchtime today, when he got home we realised that for the first time in a year we were alone in the house. I posted about this on our family WhatsApp adding some party emojis. Got a load of ewwww too much information hope you've locked the door.
Over dinner I commented that I was thinking of making my style a little more edgy and would like a biker jacket. Ds looked at me witheringly and said"mum you're nearly 60 you shouldn't even use the word edgy never mind look it"
My three girls were all very much in favour of my plan though so ds will be ignored.

I have failed to embarrass him today. Usually I manage to do it just by existing and breathing. I am a constant embarrassment, apparently.

Today our only conversation has been 'TEA!' and then he granted me the privilege of his football knowledge as he attempted (and succeeded) to win the Pointless Jackpot question. He then scooped the plates up, dumped them in the kitchen and is currently shouting at an XBox.

I will embarrass him shortly by going into his room to kiss him goodnight whilst he is killing things. And his friends are probably listening via headsets.

In a WhatsApp chat with DS his autocorrect said "Fam" instead of "Damn".

I replied with " We is your fam, innit" to which DS just said "oh god".

I could just picture his face as he typed that Grin
