Help me WFH-ers

I've been working from home since the pandemic started, and am likely to continue long term. Spend most of my day on zoom calls, and am looking for a solution to have decent sound on calls - that is that people can hear me. The microphone on my laptop isn't great, and i have a cheapy external webcam that is fine for the picture but a disaster for audio.

Work have provided a very good Jabra wireless headset, but the bloody thing feels like it has squeezed the bejaysus out of my head by the end of the day - not helped by trying to get it sitting right so it doesn't also push my glasses arm into my skull

What are you MN WFH-ers using ? Anyone find a webcam that does good audio too ? I'm happy to spend a few quid, but i'm not a youtuber, and don't need professional quality video :D

I use Airpods and bluetooth them to my laptop (or my phone if I dial into the sound using my phone and the video using my laptop if my wifi is playing up).

That being said, sometimes a laptop upgrade is what you need - a colleague was upgraded from an old sony vaio to a new lenovo thinkpad and suddenly both audio and picture are excellent because the processing speed of the computer is able to handle it. She had an external webcam and headset before but I think her old laptop was just too slow.

Like you, I hate wearing headphones for any length of time. I use a Jabra Speak 510 (sorry, Amazon link wouldn't display properly). Has Bluetooth and USB connection and works really well.

Thanks a million!
@Xiaoxiong what's really frustrating is that this laptop isn't even a year old Confused
@SisyphusDad looking at the Jabra Speak now, and it reminded me that i saw some people using that in meeting rooms back when we were in the office and it was a great job !
