Can I take the baby to my vaccine?

As the title really, have vaccine booked for today at a large arena set up. It's only just occurred to me there might be an issue with taking the baby (in his pushchair obvs)
Has anyone else who's had the jab taken their small contained child with them?

Well my friend went with her parents to ask if there was any spares so she could get Vaccinated. So I feel like if they allow someone to do that then you should be able to take a baby with you if needed. Not everyone can organise childcare - if they question you, maybe just explain you had no choice?

Yes, you can. I could have gone in with DH, but he doesn't need his hand holding for a jab.

Is this Sheffield Arena by any chance?

I took DS in his buggy a few weeks ago. I had no other option but they didnt say anything about it

I volunteer at a vaccination hub and have had several people bring their baby/toddler along, no problem at all.

MotherPiglet · 11/03/2021 08:45

I shouldn't think it would be an issue OP. Just like if you was going to the doctors or dentist. They'll understand not everyone can arrange childcare especially when the appointment time is so short too.

I was wondering this. Mine is Sat. Technically could ask in-laws as they are out support bubble but MIL has a bad back at the moment and FIL wouldn’t have a clue. Plus they’re really wary of seeing us support bubble or not and despite having both been vaccinated themselves - which is up to them of course.

Still trying to decide what’s best.

minniemoocher · 11/03/2021 08:48

It was ok at the mass hub, there were signs asking those not being vaccinated to wait in the car park but everyone seemed to have someone accompanying them as I was. Got to go again tomorrow so hoping the queue isn't as long this time

I don't have a baby but I had to take my severely autistic ten year old with me as both DH and I were both getting vaccinated ,where I had mine was extremely well organized and they were very accommodating

Duckyneedsaclean · 11/03/2021 09:05

Yes no problem.

edwinbear · 11/03/2021 10:37

I had mine yesterday (at a GP hub), there were a few other people there with babies/toddlers in pushchairs, it was fine.

Onemoremakesthree · 13/03/2021 14:41

Thanks all, you were correct it wasn't a problem at all, they even gave him a sticker too!!

And yes, Sheffield arena, really well set up, in and out in no time and everyone was very friendly and helpful
