Could this be a miscarriage

Hi I am 6 weeks pregnant and have had spotting on and off for 5 days with brown blood. I have spotted in my previous pregnancy so wasn't overly concerned. Tonight when I’ve been to the toilet to wipe though it’s pinky/red colour and I have slight stomach cramps. I’ve read a few threads and there is so many different things people have and are fine or have and sadly miscarry. I’m just worried we’ve only found out in the past 2 weeks and we’ve not even made a first midwife appointment yet so I don’t really know what to do... any advice/help appreciated

I had cramps with pink/brown spotting and the occasional gush of fresh blood from six weeks pregnant. I think the spotting only stopped around 12 weeks. My DD is lying in my lap feeding ferociously as I type this!
I saw my GP who ordered repeat blood tests to check if my HCG levels were rising and I had scans at six and eight weeks. I don’t think the (private) scans were strictly necessary but I was happy to pay for them as they were very reassuring.
Good luck Flowers

Hello, for me this was a sign of miscarriage I'm afraid. Give the GP a ring in the morning, they may refer you to EPU, or do blood tests or maybe just tell you to wait and see what happens because it is so early. If it is a miscarriage it's probable that the bleeding will get worse quite quickly and when it happens, you'll usually know. Fingers crossed for you Thanks

I am sorry you are going through this scary experience. As others have said, call your GP and ask if they can either do bloods or refer you to the EPU (or both).

I have everything crossed that this is nothing to worry about.
