Holiday help!

I’ve had a really shit 4 years, think DV, abusive relationship, long term health condition diagnosis and death in my immediate family Sad (topped off by Covid Hmm). Now things are looking a bit more optimistic (and I’ve met a new man Grin) I’d really like to book a holiday for September ish time to give me something to look forward to and get me motivated to go back to the gym when it opens!

Budget is about £4k for the two of us for a week to ten days, although we could probably stretch that for something amazing. I’d love a swim up room or a small private pool, and not somewhere massively child orientated as we don’t have kids.

We also love eating out and going out and doing things so wouldn’t want a resort in the middle of nowhere. All inclusive would be a bonus but not a necessity.

Appreciate we may not end up being able to go but will pay on credit card so we can reclaim if necessary.

Can anyone recommend anywhere fabulous? Flowers

The Island Hotel in Crete

Somewhere in Cornwall or Devon perhaps? Newquay maybe? Off-season so quieter, and cottages or hotels with pools will be available. No need to think about whether you will need vaccine passports or Covid tests or long airport waits.

Portmeirion in north Wales is luxurious.

That’s interesting, think we’ll consider Cornwall! It would be nice to support the hospitality industry in this country as well so that could be a factor.

I have a fab local travel agent I use. I just send her my requirements and she gives me a few options. I pay the brochure/online price but she takes care of everything. I used to use her for overseas holidays but she’s just booked us a cottage in Northumbria for April too.
We have a full Covid money back guarantee too. There might be someone similar in your area or if you PM met I can give you her details (I promise it’s not me)

I'd look at the Scarlet in Mawgan Porth - I think that would tick all the boxes, though not sure on price!
