Earliest you've poured a glass of wine on a weekday in lockdown?

I've just poured myself a giant Rioja. Absolute shitstorms at work today. Just got out of a 3hr teams meeting, closed my laptop and walked straight to the wine rack.

Ugh, so sick of online meetings. I've been in and out of them since 8am. Angry

I would if I didn’t have the two little ones coming back from nursery soon!!!

We normally have one at 5/6pm on a Thursday (my Friday at work as do a three day week) and then another once the kids are asleep Grin

Enjoy one for me please ladies!

Avaganda · 09/03/2021 16:54

About 3.30pm on one horrific Friday.

Hardchoices · 09/03/2021 17:01

Never before the kids are in bed, so about 8Pm. No matter how bad my day is, I view drinking (to relieve stress, not for social enjoyment) when the kids are still up or earlier in the day to be the start of a slippery slope.

about 10.45am after 7 days without any heating or water in early jan , ,once it was fixed i had a lovely hot bath and a glass of wine and watched netflix ,kids were at their dads not that it would have mattered cos they are teenagers

10am 1st lockdown- Aperol Spritz. Had been up since 4am prepping work sheets for homeschooling (no teams or support from school then).
I didn't even get drunk, although I drank most of the bottle. But pottered in the garden and sorted the house. Was well worth it.

Aquarius1 · 09/03/2021 17:10

No judgment here; 4.15pm after I’d had enough of work

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 09/03/2021 17:13

Back in Lockdown 1, my 7yo DD asked me if it was time for my lunchtime Prosecco. In front of DH who was had a day off.

Luckily he believed me that I hadn't been drinking Prosecco at lunchtimes Blush. I honestly hadn't. Even with homeschooling 2 children and DH working 10-13hr days 6 days a week (not at home).

11.30 am on a Wednesday. In fairness it was my wedding anniversary brunch, and I had the day off work.

Oof. I don't blame you there.

Our toilet and oven packed in one day a few years ago, when our cat has been missing for 8 days.

I sat on the floor and cried at about 11am and DH hurried over with a glass of wine. The cat came home later that night luckily.

Lunchtime yesterday, just a small glass (i was pretending to be continental).

Chimeraforce · 09/03/2021 19:09

In the depths of winter I'd pour a gin around lunchtime on my non working days.
To be honest, my wfh may be improved by alcohol. Not joking.

Bearnecessity · 09/03/2021 19:11

2pm today I was pacing past a bottle of rose wondering if I could after another shit spat with a local council rep..I have thus far resisted could cave at any minute.

iwishiwasonhol · 09/03/2021 22:14

and as the new boiler that was just put in last week has just gone off for the second time, i will be having wine for breakfast

guffaux · 09/03/2021 23:39

Have had a glass of wine at lunch time on a couple of occasions, and now regularly have a bottle of dry cider with Sunday lunch, dp has a bottle of moretti

have given up alcohol for Lent, the money we'd usually spend on alcohol is going to be donated to a local charity - i think it will be around 250- which is shocking

whats more shocking is that we could
drink between 500- 1000 calories in a day!

grassisjeweled · 10/03/2021 02:38

Had 2 shots on a social distance walk this morning, it was around 11am

blackheartsgirl · 10/03/2021 09:57

I don't.
Only when the kids are in bed, never on a weeknight and have a bottle on a sat evening quite often.

I don't use alcohol as a prop anymore. I did once and I felt like shit physically and mentally
