I think Alex was genuine don’t get me wrong. I just don’t believe for a second Piers cared enough about it to storm off set. That’s the calculated part.

It all seems very staged to me. I am rather cynical though!

I don't know if it's that son but one of his sons has had death threats.

I don't think it was a staged thing. He has a very big ego, and is easily hurt. He's also a royalist, so he's got an agenda in promoting the monarchy.

Piers Morgan is a bully. Simple as that. He needs to be removed from TV. Not place in society for him.

He's a fragile man-baby who can dish it out but can't take it. Funny how he removed himself from a situation he didn't like and yet berates Meghan for doing the same.

I hope she sues him and ITV. I hope she gets a restraining order out on him for harassment and stalking. There are cyber bullying laws these days (apparently)...why is he allowed to troll her on his Twitter every day?

I think that is a real reach - Piers Morgan can't possibly be such an utter tit, he must haved a good reason for such a pathetic tanty. Honestly, it almost sounds like you think he is a reasoned, measured person and not a knee jerk, egotistical buffoon.

Except all I said was that him flouncing off was staged. So not sure why you would assume that. I would imagine every action with him is calculated.

Also, I know I just said i can't watch GMB yet that Alex was brilliant this morning... just to clarify I only know Alex was brilliant thanks to this thread.

Don't you think ITV are after the ratings? And PM delivers. Because people want to watch him. ITV knew what they were getting when they hired him. A controversial figure always willing to take the opposing view and ruffle everyone's feathers.

If PM sat there every morning doing a Lorraine Kelly and fawning over everyone people wouldn't watch it.

He has been horribly bitchy about MM at every opportunity and called out on it in Twitter etc many times - so all of a sudden he has a flounce, seems unlikely to me --- he's probably trying to get more attention then M&H.

I don’t doubt Alex was angry , but good cop bad cop springs to mind for me, as well as it being engineered to happen by the producers. Keeps everyone talking and is great for viewing figures.

It would be interesting to have a physiological breakdown of his thinking. I find it hard to grasp how any person is not too embarrassed to stage themselves stropping off like a over-sized slow-moving toddler.

Seems unlikely that it was staged when it leaves PM looking like a petulant little boy who can dish it out but can't take it. And he'd utterly hate the fact that Alex Beresford comes out of it looking so much better than he does.
