My issue is with people like Meghan, Harry, Diana and Andrew telling their truth as they see it because they feel that they are victims and don't 'have a voice'. They authorise books, brief friends, brief journalists.
I agree.
I also have an issue with the phrase 'their truth'. It's a bit like 'alternative facts' where people start arguing there's multiple realities and therefore they can't be challenged. Then when factual inaccuracies are pointed out, they are dismissed as invalidating experiences, denying my truth. It's all wrapped up in bullshit.
There may be different sides to a story, different experiences and different feelings surrounding the events, and I'm on board with people sharing their views and experiences, but there's one truth.
