I miss This Week with Andrew Neil. It was a brilliant programme. The best years were when Diane Abbott and Michael Portillo co-hosted. At the moment Andrew Neil is doing a brilliant job questioning the SNP's governance of Scotland.

This Week was really good. It was politics but it was lighthearted and laid back but still informative.

I don't care for Morgan's bull-in-a-china-shop mentality and it's all about him.

I don't think Andrew Neil would want him on his news channel - PM is a 'celebrity' first and journo second. No good for honest news coverage.

I’ve got a lovely story in my mind. It goes like this.
AN: Piers, do you fancy joining my edgy new current affairs programme for shed loads of money?
PM: Sounds great! But I’m under contract to ITV and it would cost a lot to buy me out.
AN: How about you arrange to get sacked in a blaze of publicity?
PM: Brilliant idea! Win win!

Purposefully avoided GMB because of him. I'd rather watch nothing when the BBC news is too much doom and gloom.

I think Piers should have done the interview instead of her best friend. She came to Britain with an Agenda and thinks she has achieved it. Let's wait and see.

I dunno, quite like that he offers another viewpoint. I like that Susannah balances him out. There is fault in both sides with this, and I don’t want Meg/Harry to come out on top - nor the Royal Family.

I am the same silverthorny both meghan/harry and the royals need to both be held accountable. The royals for their blatant racism and meghan/harry for trying to gain fame from selling stories to the media they so very hate. Going on a talk show was a bad move.
And Piers is only saying what half of us think and Alex the other. I agree Susanna and Piers worked very well together and made breakfast tv watchable for the first time in years. Now it will be a dull shell of show.

@Wannabangbang yep! I think this really highlights to me how people always identify themselves as victims. DD had a bullying week at school - and she knows very well how to identify herself as a victim, but not how to identify herself as a bully. I think as humans, we are capable of both.

I also think there's an element of him trying to win favour back with the alt-right types, after his Covid stance, before announcing his next career move.

If he was announced a month ago as joining GB News the Right would have lamented it. Now he can be announced as an anti-woke, anti-Meghan, pro-freedom of speech, Royalist crusader (free speech as long as you agree with him that is).

Watch him drop his pro-lockdown/anti-government Covid stance now and go firmly back down the rabbit hole of the anti-work/anti-anything liberal or left, anti-vegan sausage rolls as he tries to transition back into the alt-right poster boy in time for his inevitable GB News show.

I don't care what someone's politics are, but he's such a twerp.
