help me calm down

please help me calm down, think I'm having a panic attack. I was eating cut up hot dogs and I think I swallowed one partially whole but feel like I have something stuck in my throat. I can still breathe but dont know if I can feel something cos I am panicking and over thinking it. I tried washing down with coke but when I swallow I am convinced something is there.

please help me calm down, I am shaking and nearly in tears.

If you can breathe ok, then you're alright, OP. If you can't, then call an ambulance. Do you have someone with you or someone you could ask for support? If you are upset and crying it can feel like something is stuck in your throat even when it isn't. Remember - breathe in through the nose, out through the mouth!

I feel like my chest is hurting and feels like something is sitting at the bottom of my throat. I have drunk some cola and that went down but havent tried anymore food yet as terrified it will get stuck on top if there is something there

Have you tried a really big cough ?
Breath slowly and regularly, try not to pant . Is anyone with you x

I'm too scared to cough, I have it in my head it will get more stuck I dont know why. my hands have gone tingly and I feel dizzy but dont know if it's because I've started having a panic attack or if I genuinely have something stuck

Yes, don't eat anything else for a while, just give your body a chance to process it. Steady breathing and regular sips of water. Perhaps you could call 111 for advice, but if you're breathing ok and not in any sharp pain then it doesn't sound like an emergency.

OP just take it one minute at a time. No need to keep drinking. Your throat needs time to relax.

Can you clear your throat without coughing? If you panic your body will tighten up.

I have only just managed to calm down. had to remember the techniques I was taught, focus on 5 things you can see, 2 you can hear etc.

feeling much better now and whether or not I've dislodged it or because my anxiety calmed the feelings isnt there much anymore.
