Coming to terms with not having children without ever trying

Hi I apologise for posting this is chat, I couldn't find a more suitable section.

Due to numerous reasons, I'm highly unlikely to ever have children. However I've wanted to me a mum for as long as I can remember. As a child when asked what do you want to be when grown up always to be a mummy.

I've never actually tried to get pregnant though, so it's not like I'm unable to have children (I have pcos tho), but I've not chosen to not have children either.

I'm asexual, have pcos and adhd, on long term benefits living benefit payment to benefit payment
..get my money tomorrow, currently got 52p left. No way I'll ever have a child.

How do I come to terms with that?

Hi OP, you are in a tricky situation, but it's good you've put your thoughts down here.n

What age are you? I know your circumstances are not ideal, but a bit consideration regarding fertility is also age.

Is there anything else in life you'd like to achieve? Hobbies? Something to use your time, ability and love for?

I do have DC, so I can't answer that question of yours, but life has put blocks up which stop me doing some other things I'd love to do, and I know what you mean about wondering how to come to terms with it all.

You clearly have love to give, so is there anyone close to you with DC - a family member, friend, neighbours etc that you could get alongside?

Is there a reason you don’t work? Obviously having kids is much more doable with a decent income

Watching with interest as I'm in a similar situation. If I think about it too much it breaks my heart, I'd love to be a mum.

How old are you op? I would not rule it out.

Have a look at Gateway Women, it helped me to know this exists.
