Do heat pump or condenser tumble dryers exist without the silly sensors?

Not heat pump ones afaik. Prob buy a cheap condenser

hennaoj · 07/03/2021 17:26

I can't seem to find one that isn't hotpoint or indesit. Really don't want those brands either.

It will be the cheapest models with just a timer and basic selector

HarrietSchulenberg · 07/03/2021 18:05

I've got a cheap as chips White Knight dryer that has no bells and whistles other than a timer.

Don't get a Bosch Classixx.
Useless 9 programs round the dial and only 1 gets the clothes dry. Waste of time.

Pedallleur · 07/03/2021 18:35

Think I get 4 programmes on our Bosch that work ok. Better than the heat pump tho. Took a day for 1 washload. Now I would get a Beko or similar with a timer and a low temp setting if poss.

I’ve also got a cheap as chips white knight, no fancy settings or sensors apart from when the water container needs emptied.

Got fed up of my hotpoints then my indesit breaking down (this is my 5th dryer in 12 years!)
Last one was on the recall list.....nobody ever contacted me for the repair despite reporting it 3 times and being without a dryer for over a year.

My mum swears by white knight so bought one a couple of years ago.
