Any bat experts around?

Found this dead bat lying on my garden path. I’ve tried to identify the species from google images, but not got very far. Pipistrelle? Whiskered bat? Anyone know?

Yes, very sad. Educational for the dc I suppose; not often you get to look at a bat close up.

I thought they hibernated, so not sure why it was out. It was -3 here last night.
