Antihistamines

I think the dreaded tree pollen season started this weekend and my hay fever has been playing up.

Took a loratadine on Friday - all fine. Did the same yesterday and it's knocked me for six - did t subdue the hayfever and made me heavy and lethargic all evening. Slept badly and feel puffy and crusty this morning. Also has terrible leg cramps but don't know if that's related.

Any suggestions? I know portion can render me useless for a whole weekend so I avoid that like the plague!

Tree pollen started a few weeks ago and it’s particularly bad this year. Most antihistamines make me feel drowsy so i am prescribed Fexofenadine. I take that in the morning and one of the otc ones at night. It’s just not cutting it this year though. You can get an injection and I’m thinking of asking my GP about it although it may not be available on the NHS. Hope you get sorted.

Either fenofexafine or try Benadryl Acravastine that one is over the counter but very fast acting and a his send. I think the one you are on doesn’t work for everyone. And it’s older type medicine. A nose spray might help you too.

Thanks both.

It's only this week it's started with me. Was so bunged up even at bedtime. I'll contact my GP if the benadryl stuff doesn't sort it.

Sniffling and puffy as we speak! Just sneezed 8 times in a row - I'm wrecked already 🙈
