Bruising on aripiprazole, new medication

Hi, I just started a new medication, aripiprazole, 2 weeks ago and I seem to have developed 12 new unexplained bruises in the last couple of days.
Has anyone else experienced bruising from medication? If so, is it dangerous or is it something that can happen but isn't a problem and will just go away with time?
I can't contact my mental health team about it as I'm between services at the moment, I've just been discharged from home treatment team and waiting to be seen by community mental health, so not sure what to do. I guess I could contact my GP Monday or maybe 112 if its importany, but don't want to call and waste their time if its not serious.
Thank you

I'm not a psychiatrist, but I am a doctor, and I believe that aripiprazole, like other drugs in its class, can (rarely!) cause changes to blood counts. If you contacted me as your GP I'd arrange a blood test. So I think you should speak to a doctor ASAP. Given that it seems to have started acutely over the last couple of days, I would suggest ringing 111 and seeing what they advise. They may signpost you to your usual GP tomorrow, but I think it is worth speaking to them today.

Thank you for your reply!
I'll try 111 and see what they say.
It might be nothing but it's best to get it checked out isn't it.
