I have been ill every few weeks for about a week at a time.

Nauseous
Terrible headache
Pain in one side of face
Tiredness
Loss of appetite
So drained and tired

This has been going on for months every few weeks. I finally think I may have found the answers myself, gp has never mentioned it before.

Think I have sinus infection. Has anyone had these before? What is a miracle cure?

Have been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, beconase nasal spray.

Feel like all I do is complain on here when I'm feeling under the weather Grin

Yes I've had a few, they can be horrible.

No miracle cure, if they're bacterial they an be treated with anti bionics.

If viral then treat like a cold and include lots of menthol steam inhalations. Salt water nasal washes can help some people - look up neti pots and only ever use sterilised water as per instructions.

Can also get a saline sinus spray at chemist which I've used before.

If taking decongestants for longer than recommended you can rebound congestion at which point best to seek further advice from pharmacist or gp for treatment.

Sure its not a migraine though? If getting monthly could be linked to menstrual cycle?

*antibiotics (obviously)

If you blow your nose does pus come out? I had the most awful infection, I used a neilmed to wash out the cavity. Helped for a few hours. But you really need antibiotics

Antibiotic if it’s bacterial and irrespective a sinus rinse, make sure water is just warm, body temp.

I had this, it was awful, I remember hacking out a massive chunk of flesh from my nose because of it. Quite gross. But get it seen to, I ended up with a bad throat infection as I left it untreated

Warm flannels on your face, nasal rinse, loads of water and paracetamol in the mean time
