I’m trying to relaunch my Etsy shop which sells paper cutting templates (but I have plans to add to patterns for other crafts) - it’s been up for a few years and ticking over with the odd sale but since I had my twins 4 years ago I haven’t really touched it, all my social media has languished and died a death so I’m starting over.
I’ve been making some little progress videos of my pieces (eg. cutting some and taking a photo, them compiling them together into an animation or video) and I’m wondering if I should be trying TikTok. Didn’t even occur to me until now because it seems to be for the young folk and I am old - but maybe enough young adults watch it that might be interested maybe?
Unfortunately I don’t think I can upload videos here so hard to show what I mean - this is one of the pictures, imagine lots of pictures like this with increasingly more bits removed 😂
I’m starting a new map tomorrow so I can take shots from the start.
So yeah... do adults look at TikTok, especially the kind of adults who might be interested in artsy / craftsy things?
I’m hammering Instagram and have gained lots of new followers this week, but I only had about 10 before and now I only have 150 ish. Similar number on Facebook but struggling to find new followers and not sure what works these days!
