Just musing really. I'm talking 10-15 years younger btw. I'm early 40s. Would love to hear your stories of how it went and how it's still going...?

I’m 37 and have always dated younger men, currently have toddler with a 28 year old. It never works out well haha.

I meant 10-15 years PLUS btw!

8 - 10 years probably ok , 5 - 7 better in as much as you have shared common ground such as music , tv , remember same major world happenings etc.
10 - 15 years pushing it imo .
You say you are early 40s, that makes them 25+ ? Maybe ok just for shagging , if both want the same thing . Personally wouldn't want a relationship .

Friend 1: She was 38, he was 30. She wanted children, he wasnt ready and they split after 3 years mostly down to that.

Friend 2: She was 40, he was late 20s. They're still together 20 years later and have never had any age gap related problems that Im aware of.

Friend 3: He was 30s she was 40s - he didnt think he wanted children and then 10 years later decided he did and left her for someone much younger (he was a dick in many ways and she was well rid).

It can work but it depends on the people, and on what you want from life. Guess that is the same for anyone regardless of age.

Variable then! Thanks for your answers.

'OK just for shagging' made me laugh @Sunnyday321! Grin

Why doesn't it work out well?

I’m married to a man 6 years younger than me. Together 17 years. I’m in my mid forties.
If he wasn’t abusive (at times), it’d be fine.
I’d always go for younger men for sex reason ms 😳
