Royal Referendum : 1 word answer

This isn't a royal family bashing thread..just interested to know how people would vote once the Queen has died and the was a vote on whether to keep the royal family or not.. a simple yes ( to keep ) or no.

I didn't use to mind them, but the accumulation of things that have come out about them over recent years make me think they don't deserve to be there.

I used to think the Queen was dutiful if dull etc. But her public support for Prince Andrew after recent revelations was misjudged and has made me lose all respect for her.

On the basis of this thread I'd say they are on their way out - although that will probably take many years. It would be interesting if people put their age after their yes or no vote, to see if its mostly younger people who want them gone, or across the board. I'm 57.

I think the UK doesn't understand how good it has. I come from a country which got rid of its monarchy in the last 50 years. Every politician only cares about a 4 year timeframe and projects that will help them win the next election. To have the monarchy focus on long term and cultural projects (like architecture, farming innovation, etc) and community engagement along with politicians focusing on short term projects is such a good balance. I will never vote them out.

I would abstain -- I've always felt as an immigrant I should sit out on RF issues. Possibly on most constitutional decision issues.

I would like RF to stay, but still think it's my place to abstain.
