Dark chocolate recommendations

I really like piece or 2 of dark chocolate, to have with an after dinner coffee. Its my way of not eating ceap during the day, with this to look forward to.

What can you recommend?

Current favourites are Montezuma sea dog (sea salt and lime)
And lindt seasalt. Not so keen on the lindt caramel and really disliked the bar (possibly green and blacks) with raspberry.

Willies cacao luscious orange. I reluctantly share a bar with DH.

M&S Swiss extra fine is very smooth for dark chocolate. Aldi Moser Roth is really lovely too (and it comes in little single-serving bars so you can't accidentally eat too much).

I really like all the bars in the Green and Blacks Velvet collection.
Asda extra special Peruvian
Terry’s Orange dark (almost as good as Godiva pure dark and blood orange)
Lindor extra dark truffles
Lindt Les Grandes hazelnuts

Lindt intense orange

ElderMillennial · 06/03/2021 07:20

I like the Lindt orange and mint ones
Thorntons dark chocolate is nice
One of the M&S ones but not sure which!
Hotel chocolat maybe it's the 70 or 80%

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 06/03/2021 07:34

The Co-op's own brand 85% is lovely. I like the Tony's Chocoloney with sea salt too.

AiryFairy1 · 06/03/2021 07:41

Another vote for Lindt les grandes hazelnuts!

The Godiva slabs are also v good 👍

I love the Aldi chocolate but it is too nice to only have a little bit, you will be addicted before long.

I love the Aldi bars too :)

Aldi and Lidl (better ranges) are both good. I particularly like that Aldi does little bars in a multi pack. Morrison's also has decent own brand. I tend to choose dark chocolate with orange and/or ginger.

Literallynoidea · 06/03/2021 08:01

M&S does a nice dark bar with clementine.

Bookworm19 · 06/03/2021 08:15

Seed and Bean
Gnaw

I think they're online only but they're addictive, especially seed & bean!

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 06/03/2021 08:45

Lindt mint is gorgeous!

CRbear · 06/03/2021 08:57

Another vote for the Aldi Moser Roth individual bars- I like the sea salt one, but the salted caramel and mint are also good.

Odile13 · 06/03/2021 08:59

Lindt 90% Supreme Dark is my favourite.

cathyandclare · 06/03/2021 09:01

Aldi Moser Roth chilli and Lindt chilli are both lovely, also the Co-op dark chocolate orange one

lilyfire · 06/03/2021 09:01

Montezuma 100% with orange and cocoa nibs is really good and no sugar

This one is 65 % and very chocolatey without being bitter.

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 06/03/2021 09:17

The co-op own brand posh dark choc is lovely.
And the Divine bar with pink Himalayan salt.

rosesarered321 · 06/03/2021 09:19

Lindt 90% is my favourite

JovialNickname · 06/03/2021 20:57

Willie's cacao (the one with the gold wrapper inside the brown cardboard sleeve). It's just beautiful, too good for this earth even!! (Can you tell I really like it)

Thatswhatmamasaid · 06/03/2021 21:07

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Green and Black's, they're the best!

ImFree2doasiwant · 07/03/2021 11:17

Ooh some replies!

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal I LOVE the co-op one, stumbled across it in the local "not spar" shop.

I do like anything mint or orange but can't stop eating it so only buy it on special occasions!

@lilyfire I tried the 100% black, it was too much for me. I was given a bar of the orange and cocoa but gave it away as I thought I'd not like it.
