Selling signed Harry Potter books and artwork

Just looking for where to begin here, if anyone can help.

I could do with raising some cash. I have 3 hardback signed Harry Potter books to sell. Also 2 framed drawings by the artist Edward Ardizzone. Has anyone any ideas of where I would begin to sell them?

Thank you

No sorry. No buying or selling on this site. I came here for advice as to how to begin to sell, which I have had and am very grateful for.

I had a first edition Lion, Witch & Wardrobe. I used Dominic Winters Auctioneers to sell it - they are book specialists, so may be worth a look.

I was a bit worried about asking them, as I wasn’t at all sure it was a first edition - I’d bought it at an Antiques Fair for £3 when I was a teenager. They were helpful, and gave practical advice on getting the best price for me.

Go to a specialist.

I'd have thought a few hundred would be possible if sold.together with the invitation. Do you have any photos of the event?

No, no photos. It was 1999, before the days of mobile phones. I do remember JKR pushing politely into the lunch queue muttering that she wasn't pushing in as much as in a big rush. (Seafood pizza- looked absolutely poisonous.) The event was in the Lyceum theatre and her signing queue stretch all the way from the foyer to the stalls and round in a circle. So she probably was in a rush. It was before the films came out, but even so she was significantly better dressed than anyone else about (coffee coloured suede jacket, lovely swooshy hair). She didn't win; she was short listed. Robert Swindells won with Stone Cold.
It must have been one of the last regional events she ever did.

Then your best course of action would be putting them on eBay. With the right provenance you can fetch around $500/$600 each one on an auction. Good luck.
