Family movie night inspiration

Ok, I know this has been done to death, but finding it hard to be inspired, feel like we have watched so many! It is my DS (age 9) turn to choose, but I usually try and come up with suggestions. He likes films about: Large monsters, some violence, the baddies winning, dragons, fantasy etc etc! But in general happy to consider anything good we may not have seen.

Have already seen Godzilla, The Meg, Marvel (and more). I was inspired by the thread about 'films you love that know one has heard of' thread to ask for any more out there family recommendations? Happy with ratings up to 12.

I'd go old school and watch Labyrinth as its still one of my favourites!

I wound up watching the Angry Birds film with my 14 year old DS recently.
I thought it would be dire crap, but it was actually good - I was surprised, but I rather enjoyed it Grin

Pacific Rim. It's terrible, you won't thank me later, but it fulfils that brief.

A Monster Calls? Might not be action-y enough for him

The Addams Family maybe
