I have emailed my gp what is probably a very confused e consult form.( my surgery triages through this for everyone now).
Sorry if this ends up equally as confusing!
I was unwell in the night about 2/3 weeks ago. I woke up with back pain, very dizzy and feeling like my skin was on fire (I had no temp it just felt like it was incredibly hot to me). It didn’t go for a few hours and so I called 111 who told me to go to A and E.
So I turned up at a and e with my major complaint being back pain and dizziness. But as soon as they took my heart rate they started panicking about that because it was so fast - I should add here it is ALWAYS fast any time I go anywhere and it’s done it’s fast.
So after about 16 hours of them giving me various drips and potions it was still fast. But they had given me ivabradine and told me that I could go home - I may have POTS. Oh and I also had a UTI which explained the back pain.
Since then I have had a tilt table test - I have no idea of the results yet and I have a 24 hours heart monitor booked.
In the mean time I finished the antibiotics but a week or so later I started getting pain all across my chest and shoulders - worse when I swallowed or breathed in. After a few days of paracetamol that started easing.
But now the back pain is back with a bang. The whole time this has all been going on I have felt weak and shaky on and off but tbh it’s just been annoying having these silly little things coming and going.
I have emailed my doctor to ask about the back pain now in case it’s the UTI back. But tbh I’m just feeling a little down and anxious about it all because it’s just been weeks of discomfort now and in various seemingly random ways.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here at all because I’m desperate to start to feel a little more human!
