Mothers Day Gift Ideas needed please

Iwantmychairback · 03/03/2021 17:21

Mum is 86 a couple of weeks after Mother’s Day so need to buy two gifts really.
She isn’t at all ‘Lovey - Dovey’ so nothing along the lines of Worlds Best Mum.
Needs to be something I can have delivered as she lives too far away for me to drive to (non essential journey)
One gift will be flowers/ chocolates but I am struggling for the other.
I did plants for their wedding anniversary in September, booze for Christmas. She doesn’t really have a sweet tooth, so cake /sweets etc wouldn’t go down well. She has umpteen half bottles of perfume that I have bought in the past, loads of jumpers, clothes etc. Her only real hobby is knitting, but my sister bought her a load of wool at Christmas.
Really struggling for ideas, can anyone suggest something please?

Does she like any other crafty things like crochet? Maybe if it isn't something she does would she enjoy a beer hobby?

Books?

Puzzle / crossword books?

A Reed diffuser

Gloves, scarf...

A food hamper of things she likes

Framed photo of family or a photo book?

If she would prefer something practical then slippers, hand cream, hot water bottle or wheat bag

A heater / fab as it's getting warmer

Bedding

A yarn bowl, there are some beautiful ones on Etsy.

@Borka. you are a superstar. I would never have thought of a yarn bowl, but it’s a great idea. She often mentions having to chase her ball of wool across the room!
Will look on Etsy and pick a nice one for her. Thank you.

You're welcome! I've wanted to buy someone a yarn bowl ever since I discovered they existed but I don't know any knitters.
