Website hosting and Dreamweaver

I usually have a website for my business. I build in dreamweaver and use Male e commerce for the shopping cart. Currently I have a trial hosting package with Ionos but can't get dreamweaver to link with the server. Happy to change hosting. Which is good and works well with dreamweaver?

Can you try using a standalone ftp program and upload to the server from the local folder instead of using dreamweaver?

I've not heard of those. Can you suggest any good ones?

I use Filezilla for ftp. Its freeware and very reliable.
