How to find out about land registry?

Trying to help out mil who ca be a bit clueless at the best of times and currently has a lot on er plate. There was a highly complicated situation years ago where her husbands family bought land and renovated+ built property, and the whole family lived there in different homes. After some years mil dh died, she was left with debt and couldn’t afford mortgage so house was handed back to the bank.

The complication arises over the land that is around the property’s-there is a fair bit and mostly no defined boundaries, as far as she knows, she is still joint owner of 3rd of the land. Of the other 2/3 one owner is very elderly and the other pretty unwell, both still own property on the land.

Mil wants to know if her name is on land register and apply to have it removed, if other 2 owners pass away it will be down to 2 twenty-something young men to sort out and MIL does not want the hassle or cost of trying to untangle the mess over who owns what land.

Where do i need to search, is it property information on gov.uk? Or will that only show deeds for the properties there and not the land? Is their a separate it for land registry?

Hmm. Ive tried to use the map facility but as there are numerous properties on the land does that mean wed have to obtain the land registry details for each one? The land isn’t directly in front or behind any of the properties per say like a standard garden. Would there not be a serperate registry for land only- like if you owned a small bit of lan for grazing animals on?

I think every parcel that is registered to an owner will have a separate entry.
