I mean most people know about things like peanut allergies but what else do you know is an allergen?

Someone I know (on here btw so hi if she sees this) her ds is allergic to tomatoes

I’ve never heard of a tomato allergy before so that was interesting

I think I’m allergic, or at least intolerant to cheese. I’m absolutely fine with milk, but if I eat cheese I get the most horrific heartburn, stomach cramps, nausea and sweating. It feels like my body is trying to get rid of the cheese any way it can.
My mum said she used to feed me cheese baby food and it would make me scream every time, but she thought I was just being difficult... Hmm

Oh yes, some cheeses I can't eat, mild cheese and cheesespresd is fine but mature or extra mature kills my belly :(

I've found that the only answer to the itch is to dry and dress very quickly and then fly round the house or garden doing jobs or get in the car and drive. Good old distraction techniques - but they do help, honest!

@WriteHon I will try that. I'm an expert at distraction as my DD has terrible eczema and we used all manner of things to distract when she was little.

@bloodywhitecat
(Apologies for skipping last 15 pages) re allergy to Christmas Trees, be wary of any coniferous tree/shrub that are prickly. Juniperus is a right nuisance.

You cant have an airbourne allergy to strawberries. The proteins have to be expelled into the atmosphere and land on mucus membranes. That might remotely happen in the cooking process through steam or frying.
