Crazy busy in the holidays?

My dd has wanted to go for years but I told her she'd have to wait until the youngest was old enough. Anyway I want to go this summer, not staying on site. I'm debating her finishing school 2 days early for the summer hols or taking her out for two days the week before as I worry it will be a hectic nightmare in the holidays

Last time we went in the summer hols it was stupid busy for the adult rides... In fact we only managed to get on three all day and were queuing in excess of three hours. You can get queue jump tickets I believe. This was the last Saturday of the summer holidays though so may have been exceptionally busy.

The little rides didn't seem so bad though.

Have a look at TripAdvisor.

Silly busy in the holidays but our school has slightly different holidays so we went first week in June and kids stayed on the rides for ages as there was no queues anyway. Pickering lodges are canny if you are looking to stay close by. Quiet, hot tub with family pub on site with play area. ( I'm not on commission)

Thank you both. I was tempted by the last week in June but figure lots of people might do the same with everything opening up then. Thank you for the lodge recommendation, we're travelling from over 2hrs away, havent looked too hard at accommodation yet so I'll look those lodges up

I went August 2018 and we hardly got any rides as the queues were ridiculously long there just wasn't enough time.

We camped on site. 2 day's pass included in the price.. Very reasonable compared to the lodges...
