Baby’s first holiday.

Hi,
‘Hoping’ to book a late summer holiday which will be my 9/10months old first holiday.
Where would you recommend? I know he won’t be able to do kids clubs etc but would love somewhere where we could go to zoo’s/farms, days out something he can look at near by.
If suggesting Canneries or Balearics - can you please tell me which area... never been and would like to make sure I book the correct place. Bonus points for hotel recommendations too.

I would go somewhere you enjoy. You’ll be going to zoos and farms for years (they’re really boring). At that age, they are still portable. Plan a holiday you can enjoy yourselves.

When my youngest was that age, I did 4 days in Barcelona (just the two of us as was term time). We went to museums, walks in parks, nice cafes, tapas, to the beach. It was lovely, but I didn’t do any ‘baby’ activities really. He was amused enough by the metro and the buses and just being outside in the park and eating new foods.

Personally, I don’t know that I’d do that this summer though given the risk of having to quarantine (would be hell with a 9 month old). I’d probably save the stress of traveling and go to Cornwall instead, especially if you can do it in September when the crowds are starting to go.
