What did your parents keep for you or you wish they'd kept?

My mother kept some books from our childhood and a few toys. I've got the books and enjoy reading them to my own dc. My pils kept dh's toy car collection and my ds loves playing with them now. It got me wondering what I should maybe keep for my dc's for when they're older, possibly for their own children? I don't want to hoard unnecessarily and of course anything I keep may never get reused (reloved) but I think I'd like to keep some things. What things did your parents keep for you or that you wish they'd kept?

Oh so much stuff! I'm 32 and my mum has only just decided enough is enough and she doesn't want a loft full of favourite books and stuffed toys. She kept all our school work, project books, school class pictures..it has been lovely to have them to look back at as an adult and relive the memories, and I find it touching she kept them. My DP's parents by contrast told him when he moved out at 18 to take anything he wanted because they were getting rid of his stuff they'd kept (they don't even have a bad relationship). I feel a bit sad for him that he doesn't have anything left of his childhood. I expect I'll be hoarding all DD's things for her just like my mum did.
