Where’s my laughter?

Not sure if anyone else feels this way of late? I don’t seem to laugh anymore .... that sentence is probably a chuckle in itself .
Life has felt so heavy for everyone with covid. My DP had covid seriously in December , we ve been working all the way through out of the home , DS13 has been doing school online at home, thank heavens he’s old enough and the school have a very good online school system .
So probably far less worries than most but I just feel I don’t smile or laugh anymore... there’s nothing to laugh at, no friends to laugh with, it all just feels a bit flat.
The weather was beautiful yesterday which made me feel happy .

Exactly this. At least spring is here.

I’m very much hoping this decade will be a new roaring 20s once this is all over, although of course the aftershocks will be pretty severe.

@partyatthepalace I definitely need a party with Karaoke - now that would make me laugh!
I can’t think of a single thing that would make me laugh though which is the worry.I can just about raise a smile to my colleagues before we all launch into the “ covid whinge” of dayAngry

Me too Sad I thought it was my age?! Maybe it's covid. Am 38 and perimenopausal.

DobbleDobble · 28/02/2021 18:38

Lol@ @Furgggggg12 I’m a bit older - peri menopausal am sure .
So is it covid or other factors???

My partner is hilarious and my son is funny too Sad I just thought the other day I couldn't remember the last time I actually laughed out loud.

DobbleDobble · 28/02/2021 19:03

That’s exactly it, I haven’t heard myself laugh( without sounding crazy!) just nothing for at least 6 months to a year

No... I was trying to think of something but I literally can’t. And I fear the fallout from all this. Oh blimey, it is grim isn’t it. Let’s hope for a good summer at least -
