UK holiday with 4 & 10yo

Where would you recommend for July?

I'm keen to book, l just don't know where.

Someone near a beach where they can entertain themselves. I’m fed up with being a full-time teacher/entertainer. I don’t mind being a lifeguard though - so somewhere where they can body board and bob about in a dinghy! We’re going to Filey, via a few nights in York.

Accommodation is now scarce unless you finish earlier at your school. I recommend the Yorkshire coast (with a n option of a day trip to York and the Viking place) as a more economical option than the sw. Caravan park with indoor pool is a good option, stayed south of Bridlington once and it was fun.

I'm in Scotland so yes we do finish earlier than the English schools.
