Rabbits & Iceberg Lettuce

Not happy with DH as said loads of times that rabbits aren’t allowed iceberg lettuce but he gave some to 2 of our bunnies earlier. They seem fine but just wondered if anyone has had problems after feeding their rabbits? They have eaten daffodil flowers recently with no ill effects & daffodils are meant to be toxic for bunnies.

I don't think it's toxic, it can give them diarrhoea and has no nutritional value though.

It does have something in that can make them poorly (lactarium I think), how much did they eat? Maybe keep an eye on them and see how they go? As pp said it has little nutritional value so not worth giving anyway!
It’s also dangerous to guinea pigs - I didn’t realise until I had my own piggies as an adult. When I was a teenager we gave it to our pigs all the time Blush; they didn’t suffer any ill effects as far as I’m aware!

As PP says, it contains lactucarium which is bad in large quantities:

Also 'toxic' doesn't mean it has an immediate effect:
"It would be unusual for a rabbit to become obviously ill immediately after eating a toxic plant. Many have an effect that builds up in the organs over time. This is a huge problem because once symptoms do show, it’s too late to do anything about it."
