Spring clean- realised my house mings.

Well, not really, but when the sun shines through the windows there's quite a bit of dust about. Need to hoover, mop, change beds, clean bathrooms. I've cleaned the kitchen. First load of washing on the line.

Keep me motivated please!

Me too OP. I’ve booked a week off work and with no where to go I’m determined to get my house in to shape! I’ve mopped the kitchen floor, done breakfast dishes and I’ve a load of washing in... what’s next.

I need some products so thinking I’ll procrastinate and go to b&m for polish and cloths, glass cleaner...

Early spring sunshine is brutal! Probably why "spring" cleaning is a thing.

I've done the kitchen and bathroom. About to put a wash on and hoover downstairs then I'm done for today.

OMG me too, I just got back from a week away (I’m not in UK, I followed all our local rules!) and realised that my house is foul. Not just the level of cleanliness but the tidiness and the mismatched ugly furniture.
A few things are down to covid - we desperately need a new floor, which has to wait, and the living room curtains fell down and I can’t fix them myself - but the rest is just 🤢
Am starting with the bathroom 👌🏻

Biggest ball ache...cleaning blinds or towel rail????? Just done both doesn't look like ive touched them!!! X

We are switching bedrooms around today. Have moved the furniture and was disgusted what was behind it all. So both getting a good clean. But now I think I will have to do the rest of the house.
But moving the furniture has made realise that both rooms need painting and my son could use some new bedroom furniture. One thing leads to another.

I’ve been on mn all morning instead of jumping out of bed at 7am as planned to have the whole house cleaned by lunch time. I also need motivation. Please

OK so I did pretty well.
Cleaned 2 bathrooms inc shower, towel rails, tiles.
Hoovered throughout.
Changed one bed.
Dusted upstairs (ran out of cloths do will do downstairs tomorrow). The cloths were black!
Mopped all floors.
3 loads washing.
Deep cleaned kitchen, sink, microwave, cabinets, sides.
Put tesco order away.
I cheated and got a man in to do the oven last week. Best thing ever

Poured a drink and am now sitting in the last bit of sun for the day 🌞

Don't! We have a glass wall that partitions the dining room from the lounge, with a sliding door. You can imagine how that looks when the sun shines on it....

One thing leads to another, most definitely. I quite good at ignoring shite for some time then throw a strop suddenly and want it sorted, NOW. DH has painted a room today which is great. Just waiting on carpet to go down. The state of the old carpet when we pulled it up! Dear Lord. Where does the dust come from?! Mouldy apple festering and absorbing itself into the carpet under some furniture 😱

I’m starting a spring clean on Monday. I’m top to bottoming every room. Ceiling to floors. Dreading DCs rooms.

Well I only have a 2 bedroom flat (2 bedrooms, bathroom, hallway, kitchen and admittedly a large Victorian lounge with high ceilings and a bay window) and that’s taken me 2 days to spring clean! I am a smattering clearly....

Dusting is the most pointless, soul destroying activity. Why I don't do it often. Pushing the dirt around, you can't pick it up with the cloth, then in 5 seconds more appears! Fuck off dust.
