I totally forgot it was mothers day soon and sent my lovely MIL flowers just for shits and giggles last week. She has 2 other sons who send flowers too on mothers day. Im so stuck as to what to send her now. Has anyone got suggestions for a really nice food type gift basket or something else I can send her? Shes in her 80 and lives alone, Her sons are spread far and wide and poor old thing has had one visitor since first lock down. She is lovely and genteel and sweet as all hell. Likes her gin and posh nibble type things that she doesnt have to prepare. Please help me find something to make her feel special and loved.
Thanks in advance

She isn't your mother- why isn't your husband sorting out his mother's present?

What a lovely thought. We are going for Marks and Spencer hampers for MIL and DM this year. Sounds like your MIL might enjoy ‘afternoon tea in Mayfair’ which is a basket full of nibbly lovelies 🙂

Morrison's are selling an afternoon tea box which can be upgraded to gin if that's more your price range

Because maybe, like me, she loves her MIL and wants to do nice things for her? Hmm

Thank you for all the suggestions, lovely things to look at and decide.
Miseryl No shes not my mother, my poor old mum died last year, but I do love her and it gives me a lot of joy to try and find things that will give her joy. She is so unassuming, never ever complains ( she had a fall and lay on the floor for 2 days cos she didnt want to bother anyone, waited on the gardener coming). Shes cheerful and always delighted when she gets a phone call. Is interested in all my kids even the ones that are not related to her. She is just an all round lovely sweet lady. Her son would be more than happy to send her something but I love the research for something special, we then decide between us what would be best and I send it. Its the same for Christmas, though she always gets flowers for her birthday.
Off to check out Bettys of York now
Thank you all again.

Craft Gin Club, if you sign up now you'd get a box in March. Then cancel if you don't want future boxes.
Bottle of gin, magazine, tonic, few snacks.
